@tonicurtis1967 thanks for the link,I'm guessing that if giffgaff customers get anything for the outage it'll be the same as O2 PAYG customers which is:-

Pay as you go customers will get a 10% credit when topping-up in the new year - 02 will let notify when it is available.

Hi @emmanuelray

Take a look at this post from @vespaash2 on announcements (link below) around compensation.

@emmanuelray
Good Afternoon,
If you go to the Announcement Page you will find a full explanation of how giffgaff are going to address compensation.
As giff is a PAYG service it is not designed for business purposes as the T & C's make clear.

@4128334 Having read the announcement seems like giffgaff have really stepped up to help, even where help isn’t necessarily within their t&c. Fair play to giffgaff.

You do realise giffgaff runs on the O2 network, and the problem was a third part supplier of software with a bug or something
to O2, it didn't just affect giffgaff it affected hundreds of mobile and phone company's worldwide who either run on O2, or use the third party supplier for there software, so its not all together Giffgaff fault, or even O2, it's down to the software supplier, giff gaff have set up a compensation thread on announcements but it's only for small claims for loss of usage and anyone who wishes to claim can, but the compensation will be paid in credit to your phone or you can donate it too a charity, unless you take this matter further like to the omnisman for phone networks, or a small claims court and you will have too prove you lost business and that it was either giffgaff, O2, or the software providers fault, then you will get nowhere, bare in mind it was a worldwide issue which affected nearly every network except EE, so courts, omnisman probably won't be awarding any compensation at it would have to be awarded to millions ie 30/40 million of phone users maybe even more.
