He was getting there. Smiley LOL  He was both funny and politically aware and nobody would upbraid politicians of all parties like he could.

I was a big fan of his appearances on Radio 4 comedy programmes. I'd not heard anything about him being ill, and it was a sad surprise when I heard he'd died.
I'm Orlf. It's a Norwegian name.

As with the late Linda Smith (another comedy legend), very few people knew about his illness.  I have a lot of News quiz shows on my computer and listened to a couple of episodes on which Jeremy Hardy was a guest.  Pure gold.  Gone to soon. Smiley Sad

Loved his brand of humour on TV and many Radio Programmes that he was in..
