zakrs,lower pound doesnt control oil,oil controls the world economy and is controlled by opec and the powers that be to stabalise all the worlds woes.
Oil is down at the moment and so is petrol at the pumps,so our so called sliding pound is all be it just tracking at the moment.

@starkey93: Tesco now has UHT mik again, BUT is no longer selling it in 500ml boxes neither is Waitrose for that matter. 0yY8mge  I am now buying sardines from Aldi, so no need to leave London yet. Smiley LOL

If the price of oil is US$ 80 and the pound at 1.60 you need to spend £ 50 to get one unit, but at 1.25 you need to spend £ 64. That's £ 14 more and it will push up pump prices.
