Hello everyone, what do you all think of the latest phones that are available from giff gaff and elsewhere? What future phone releases are you looking forward to seen? The biggest question of all is, what is the most amount of money that you would ever spend on a phone?

Well considering that the iPhone x was £1000 I think it's best to look on other sites to buy a phone. For example my dad bought me a brand new s5 mini for about £500 from gum tree o think. It was in the box and everything exactly like a new one bit it was an unwanted gift. This was a long way back. Then last year my dad bought me a s6 edge for £100 which I'm currently using now from shpock

Hi,

While I would like a expensive new phone the question is what I can actually afford.

Unfortunately it's not that much so don't even bother to look at them anymore.

Thanks

@varun1234 it is always good to shop around. Sounds like your Dad got you some decent bargains.

I don't want an expensive phone. I'd worry too much about losing or breaking it. £100 is quite enough for me.

I always bought Samsung phones. My last one being the S6 Edge. I had it 3 years from new. But given the prices of theses phones now, I've decided enough is enough. So a few months back, I got myself an Honor 8X for £229. I have to say I love it! What's more its a much better phone than my S6 Edge. I'm very surprised at how good it is to be honest. I bought it after Christmas and I'm still discovering new things it can do. So in future when I need a new phone again I'll be looking at a similar phone to my Honor 8X.

Not sure about these new foldable phones being launched at the moment, a little too large I think.
Future phones? I'm not sure what else can they add to a phone that I'd find useful.
5G has the potential of being a very good thing but I fear networks will stifle this with limits and restrictions.
£500-£700 is about as much as I'd be willing to pay, certainly not £1000+

What i think is people spending 10% of there income on a phone every year is nuts ... im the kind of guy that would rather have a month off and a cheap phone

Out specing yourself is wasting money

Eg a phone that will do fast video editing when all you do is forums and facebook is massive overkill

I do want the pandora laptop phone with its flip out qwerty keyboard though as i do like it

Back in 2004, I paid £388.95 for the Motorola V3 RAZR.  The next most expensive was the iPhone 4 at £499.00.

The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars but in ourselves.

@newcrazymember2018  - it all comes down to functionality, spec and price. Samsung have priced themselves out of the mid-range by charging as much as OnePlus and Xiaomi who are starting to eat away at their market share. I probably wouldn't spend more than £400 by going for a previous generation model.
