I guess this will give coming to a City near you very soon.

How do people afford these charges or has it changed your transport usages

HOW MUCH WILL DRIVERS HAVE TO PAY?

£12.50 for most types of vehicle, including cars, motorcycles and vans (up to and including 3.5 tonnes). £100 for heavier vehicles, including lorries (over 3.5 tonnes) and buses/coaches (over 5 tonnes). This is in addition to the congestion charge.stream_img.jpg

Well my 13 y.o. car (1.8 litre petrol) checks as not having to pay. My 17 y.o. motorbike (600 cc petrol) will.
So some win some lose.

Anyone living in London really doesn't need to drive. The Tube and bus services are perfectly adequate.

The ones I do feel sympathy for are the businesses that need to drive in London. This seems an unfair tax on them.

How do you drop your children off, to playgroup, as a working parent? I couldn't have done it without a car. People in Lancashire don't need a car because they haven't got a job and can't afford one Smiley Very Happy
