I used to own a house in France. I felt so lucky. It was the best thing I ever bought.

When I bought it the pound was worth 1.6 euros so it was cheap as chips. Now the pound is worthless at 1.13 euros.

Living in France for part of year really appeals to me but within two hours drive of Calais ideally.

Sorry dude, Brexit has put a damper on that romantic idea 😞

Normandy is great and very affordable too. Lille is very nice also in Hauts-de-France

With the state of property inflation the only property most British people can now afford is a Wendy House.

Little England dreaming about rose tinted memories boldly stepping backwards and bowing out of the most evolved borders policy on earth.
Those who have been responsible for voting us to this will probably be those who miss the booze cruise or baccy run most when they have gone along with the dream of a second home hassle free in any of 26 countries.
"Great Britain" really will it still be right to keep the prefix ? Or leave it to be used by our neighbours and other nations around the globe with a hint of the ironic ?

Yes indeed. But it isn't "worthless" as you say. A weaker pound helps our export market and encourages domestic demand.

But it doesn't buy as much shopping as it did, often what seems to have been unchanged in price is if examined reduced in size.
