I've never come across clams in a freshwater tank @masterluke. You'll have to let us know how you get on. You'll be needing a bigger aquarium if they do get that size!

I tried putting a wild Swan Mussel in an aquarium when I was a kid but it didn't survive. Smiley Sad

@frenchielove Yes it's amusing to watch that crab clowning around. It doesn't usually come out of hiding when the normal white lighting is on, only usually in the dark and under the blue night time LED lighting. I don't know what happened to the others though that's the only one left, but for a micro crab it's actually got quite big. Man Very Happy I've got some more pics of it to upload later I took under blue LED lighting with the new lens. I didn't buy it for that but it's also very good as a macro lens.

I did the same once too with the same outcome. They're probably protected as well native freshwater mussels but I wouldn't have known that at the time I was just a kid.

The clams are alright they're feeding now. I feed my clams egg yoke (cooked runny) & spirulina powder from a pipette. I mix it + water + little bit of sea salt (preservative) in an old Vegemite jar I keep in the fridge.

I've also got a Scabies crispata clam in the little 10l tank as well but I rarely see it it always disappears around the back of the tank. I've moved it back to the front a couple of times but it moves again so I just leave it alone now. It's surprising how much it moves around for a clam. Man Very Happy

Just thought of something having had some tinned peas with my dinner. I could add some of the pea juice to my clam's food? I'll check what's on the tin first and I need to be careful I don't squirt too much salty stuff in.

This is the only clam I can now find, the other two have hidden/buried themselves in the sand overnight. Smiley Indifferent So thought I'd better take a pic of this one before it disappears as well.

Great photos.

I had been wondering if the clams might end up hiding, buried a lot of the time.

One of the reasons I've never kept Khuli loach is the fact that you rarely, if ever, see them. Smiley LOL
