Now we are in Lent and the next creative event in my calendar is Easter.

So let’s share our hot cross buns, simnel cakes and other festive bakes and makes!

Does anyone make their own Easter eggs?

Will you be making cards or gifts for Mothering Sunday ?

Or are you celebrating another festival over the next 6 weeks such as Purim, Magha Pujah, Holi, Hola Mahala or the spring equinox?

Does anyone make any springtime decorations for their home?

Are you planting or making anything for your garden over the next few weeks?

Any seasonal home made stuff is welcome in this thread whether it’s baking, crafts, writing or anything else creative ... I’m looking forward to seeing things you’ve made 😊

Anither great thread @kath72 my son and his family make a wreath for the door in Spring, and organise an egg hunt. When they were young, the children always made home made cards for us. Never tried to make my own egg, but have done painted proper eggs in the past, and marble ones.

When you’ve got a houseful of wee ones to keep occupied (they love getting their hands in) or you just feel like knocking up something quick yourself you can’t beat this. You can use cheap choc and cheap biscuits as it goes a long way. Double it up if you’ve really got a houseful. Excruciatingly sweet though!

Crumby Eggs

1 tin condensed milk

500g chocolate (Dark or milk works best, white goes oily)

1 packet digestive biccies

Bash biscuits until they are crumbs in a plastic bag or use a food processor.

Melt the broken up chocolate in a pan with the condensed milk.

Add the crumbs.

Mix well until all is combined.

Grab a handful and roll into an egg shape.

Keep going quickly until you’ve used the panful.

Put the “eggs” in the fridge to chill (preferably overnight if you can leave them alone).

Lick the pan out. Smiley Very Happy

@mrscake  definitely going to give that a go thank you.

I will be making my own hot cross buns without the peel as I really dislike that.

We will be caravanning/camping with all our family. We'll have bbq's and an Easter egg hunt for the children and some games along with the odd G &T or prosecco for the adults!

@mrscake I’m definately going to try those, they sound yummy

@yvonnearmstrong I’m glad you enjoy ... I like getting the inspiration from you all 😊

@janny27 ... we did egg hunts with the kids when they were smaller ... maybe I’ll do it again this year although as they are 19 and 15 they may not be keen 😂

@mahooli ... that’s always a good reason to make your own 😊 show us a picture when you’ve made them
