The Homemade Valentine’s Thread

Following on from the popularity of the home made Christmas thread, let’s celebrate St Valentine’s Day in style.

Nothing says ‘l love you’ like something you’ve made so I’ll be baking a few things and making a card or two for my loved ones!

Don’t have someone special in your life? Never mind, a batch of seasonal cookies or cakes will always go down well in the office.

I’d love to see what everyone else is making ... let’s share the love 💕

Thinking about the cakes and biscuits I’ll be baking so I’ve used up some icing that’s been in the freezer since Christmas to make some decoration for them

Coloured it pink and cut some hearts then added more red colouring and did the same again twice to get red and pink hearts

I’ll let them dry and store in an airtight container til I’m ready to use them 

you can pick up heart shaped cutters everywhere just now

Sounds good Kath, will be doing something something for my man, Made him. mince pies at Christmas with hearts on, posted them on here.

Oh wow @kath72 we never celebrate Valentines day, never have, but I shall be really interested to see all the lovely treats 🤗

Here’s a cake I made last year ... it was lemon and orange! I’m going to make strawberry and white chocolate version this year because I think the pink heart  will show up better than the orange does

Hopefully i'll get some tips on what to do for my gf for Valentine's Day. I'm told i'm a hopeless romantic, i'm not too sure if that's an oxymoron though 😲😂

@holier_than_thou that would depend ... but it’s easy to make your own ... I’ll try to put up some simple card ideas in the next few days, give one a try!
