Staying in because the damned fireworks terrify the dogs. Many get set off throughout the evening so its hard even being able to let dogs into the garden when they need to go because the fireworks can and do go off at any moment.

In other words, thanks to fireworks, I can never let my hair down and actually have a fun evening. Before fireworks were such a 'thing' for new years, I used to go out and meet up with friends at parties or pubs, those days are long gone now, purely and simply because of damned fireworks.

Don't like them for all and sundry to set off, can you tell ?

I'll do my usual trick of trying to gatecrash a house party at around 12.10am, sometimes I succeed, sometimes I don't. Other than that I'll mildly chuckle at those who start counting down 10 seconds and then set off fireworks and party poppers when it's still only 11.57pm.

Going out with my friends it took AGES to organize as nobody could decide what they wanted to do so we ended up paying double for tickets as the longer you left it the price went up Smiley Sad
