Hey folks, I hope you're all having a super day.

How many of you are part of communities in your local area? Perhaps you are a member of;

  • community centres
  • park yoga classes with locals
  • mums meeting for brunch
  • car boot sales, yard sales
  • farmers markets
  • book clubs
  • small cafes
  • tabletop games clubs

Or if you're like me, I volunteer for the RSPCA.

Why am I asking? Well, I thought I'd give a helping hand and work with our social team who are going tell some stories on Facebook and Instagram about different types of small, local communities, and we want to spotlight some of you lovely lot who are doing some pretty spectacular things.

If you'd like us to feature you on this campaign on social as a Local Legend, please do share your story by the end of the week or you can reach out to me privately through PM

Thanks everyone, can't wait to hear your stories!

Sorry had to edit as I hadn't seen previously that you would be featuring people. Don't want anything about me published on any forum.

We belolng to a church and we feed the homeless a couple of days a week. Some people are trained Street Pastors, not raming religion down people's throats but when the pubs/night clubs close there is often trouble and these Street Pastors make sure young ladies get home safely, they keep an eye out for drugs and other stuff like looking to make sure nobody is in danger of being trafficked.

@amy_b_d sorry I didn't see the very bottom of your post saying you would be featuring people, please don't use my stuff. I thought we were just chatting amongst ourselves about ideas to help out within our communities. I shall have to delete my previous post.

@msmon55 We are planning on sharing your stories on social media, but what I would do is send you a message you privately asking for permission again to share your story.

Just on a side note and you are probably aware but what you say on the forum is public where people who aren't logged in can also see what you write. =)

Hey @newlife1 This sounds like a really caring and giving community you are a part of. How long have you been actively helping your local church?

Hiya, @asimahj , what part of book club do you enjoy the most?
