2 year old giffgaff unsued Sim card for sim swap

Hi giffgaffers,

I have found a unused giffgaff sim card i have had for 2 years can still i use that as new sim card to transfer my original number on too?

You need to check if its still live.. They normally say they expire after 6 months but in my experience that doesn't seem to be the case.

Hi there.
As long as the sim card has not been activated,it will be fine.
Only activated sim cards that have not been used expire after 6 months.

Just activate it there is no fixed time,
Bear in mind that activation could take up from 30 minutes to 24hours

is there a activation time when i can sim swap my sim card?someone  said you cant between 10pm and 6am, i tried to activate the sim card it wouldnt allow me?
