Hi there. You have to be enrolled on the trial first. If you are a heavy data user, that may not be ideal for you as there is on 1gig data allowance on the £10 goodybag that is currently being used for the 4g trial.

If you are interested in joining the trial, see this link

http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Learning-and-giffgaffer-articles/Guide-to-the-4G-Trial/ta-p/1266278...

You need;

- 4G phone which you have

- 4G sim - which you have

- able to receive a 4G signal - http://giff.ly/ggservice. -which you do

So, contact an Educator about getting on the trial

See this dedicated page for 4G for more info.

4G Trial. To get full 4g everything needs to be 4g.
Phone
phone settings
sim
goody bag
signal.
First you need to qualify, then be accepted into the trial. Only then is a 4g goody bag released to your account for purchase. It will show along with the normal selection. The trial will run until October with the general launch to follow.

You are probably very excited about 4G coming to giffgaff - we certainly are - and we have been looking at ways to involve the members in preparation for the big day.

After much head-scratching, we found that the best solution was simply to open the 4G service to a group of intrepid members so they can help us identify what could be improved before we open it to the community.

From the 30/04 to the 31/10, members who are registered in the trial will be able to buy a £10 trial 4G goodybag to try out the 4G service.

Who can participate.

In order to participate to the trial, you need to tick the following boxes:

1: Be a member before we launch the trial, so before the 30/04.
2: Be registered to the trial

In order to participate in the trial you first need to make sure that you have a 4G phone compatible with giffgaff's 4G and a 4G SIM card. In order to use 4G you will need to be in a zone covered by 4G, but this is not a requirement for joining the trial.

We also advise to update your phone's software and settings.

How to register

If you are opted in for marketing messages, you would have received an email with a page to register. If you are not opted in, this message can be found in your newsfeed in My giffgaff. This message may have been replaced by more recent news. Don't worry, we will refresh the newsfeed periodically.

If you joined since we sent this email, we are sending regular emails until 2 months after launch so you will have the chance to register later. Make sure that you are opted in to marketing messages so you receive the email.

When you register to the trial, you are entitled to buy the 4G trial goodybag, but you are under no obligation to do so. If you decide not to participate in the trial, simply keep on using giffgaff as you are used to, without buying the trial 4G goodybag.

Please note that processing your registration can take up to 72 hours. This means that you won't be able to register to the trial and buy the 4G trial goodybag on the same day. We are trying to process most of the requests within 24 hours but we advise you to anticipate your registration when possible.

How can I buy the trial 4G goodybag?
The 4G trial goodybag can be found on the goodybag order page from the 30th of April to the 31st of October.

This 4G goodybag will be the only goodybag offered on the 4G page until we launch 4G to the rest of the members. You’ll be able to purchase 1GB, 500 minutes and unlimited texts on 4G for only £10 per month, which matches our 3G offer.

If you think you qualify for the trial and want to take part then try this route in but be nice to our hard working educators and they may help you.

Please be brief and to the point

Do you have the 4G goodybag? You won't get 4G without one.

You need to be on the trial as it's only on trial with giffgaff at the moment

Contact an educator and request for the trial

You need to be on the 4g trial and goodybag

To access the trial see below
and ask an educator to get you onboard
The only prerequisites for joining the 4G trial are that you were a member before the launch of the trial and that you have a 4G SIM and a 4G phone. The area that you live in or had your phone or SIM delivered to is not a prerequisite.

If a member has been told that they cannot join the trial because of their post code then let an educator know and we'll chase it up for them.

Hi @cerwy

Did you sign up to the 4G trial? users who wish to have access to 4G network must participate in the 4G Trial. The trial is expected to last until 31st October 2014, and Giffgaff will then review its usage and then it will be rolled out to other members.

see the link below on how to get involved
http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/How-to-buy-a-4G-goodybag/ta-p/12212828#faq_no_1

if you already signed up the trial please try rebooting your phone to see if that helps
