4g iphone 5 compatability

Folks - will my unlocked iphone 5 accept 4g - it previously did on ee but I'm sure there are frequency issues - many thanks for any help

No. It was launched as 4g by apple for EE. It was only 4g on EE and other networks is 3g .

Only the 5c 5s and above work on giffgaff 4g
iphone 5 is not compatible

Yes it will mate.as long as its unlocked to any network and is 4g enabled then YES

The original iPhone 5 is not compatible with giffgaff 4G as it does not work with the 800MHz band used by O2 4G that giffgaff runs over.

It was compatible with EE 4G that you used previously.

The later iphone 5C and 5S are compatible with O2's 800MHz band and therefore giffgaff 4G.

Only iPhone 5s, 5c, 6 and 6 plus allow 4g with giffgaff.

The iphone 5 only works on ee on 4g
