Either my maths or giffgaff's is wrong.

Last month, I made 4 texts and 4 minutes of call. Data is a no go on my old Nokia.

Firstly, having not topped up after having received payback last December, I was surprised to see that a giffgaff to giffgaff text gave me a total calculated saving of 6p.

Secondly, I was charged 67p for those calls and texts. This looks inherently incorrect, as I fail to see how I can be charged an odd number.

I calculate 4*10p + 4*6p = 64p, the true sum due. The saving would appear to be a bug, for I see none. There also appears to be an overcharge of 3p. Reimbursement is not what I'm after; I just want to know if I've got some maths wrong, or if anybody else has seen anything strange and to make sure that the overcharging isn't systematic.

If someone can shed some light, that would be great.

not quite. you made 4 minutes of calls but how many time did you call to reach 4 minutes? if each call was less than a minute and you made 5 calls it would be 50p because minimum call is 10p even for 1 second

That's inherently flawed, because it still doesn't explain the odd number or the three pennies. In any case, the 4 minutes was 4 calls of less than a minute each.

if you're sure you have a problem with your billing and you've actually been charged this, try contacting an agent as they deal with billing enquirers. www.giffgaff.com/rightnow/ask
