Activating sim after 5 months not using

Hello!

I have just got back from the USA and am trying to top up my giffgaff sim that I was using before I left the UK. When I log into my giffgaff account it says "it looks like you need to activate your giffgaff SIM before you can top up" however, when I try to activate the sim I am told that I cannot because it is already activated. I have not previously had a problem being away for a few months in between and am not sure why this time is different? Any Ideas?

Sounds like you logged into wrong account check the help pages u can send a free text to get the correct username for logging in

What do you hear when you call your number from another phone?

Is your phone showing a signal?
Can you call 43430?
If it's yes to both those
Text the word NAME to 43430 to receive confirmation of your correct username
Get a free giffgaff Sim

Could it be that you haven't used your SIM for 6 months in this case it would have been cancelled
