Apn Settings For Huawei Ascend y300

Can anyone help me?? I couldn't send or receive picture messages, so tried to change my APN settings. I sent settings by text to 2020 that didn't work so tried to enter them manually. Now can't get Internet either. I have tried the setting for Huawie phones in FAQ, but my model is not listed and still had no luck!!Cat Frustrated

Hi try this

● First make sure Mobile Data is on / enabled on your handset

Tap Settings then More Settings on your mobile
Tap Mobile Networks then tap Access Point Names
Tap the Menu button then Tap on + New APN
Type the following data into the onscreen form,
(without changing any other settings)

Name - giffgaff
APN - giffgaff.com
MMSC - http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002
MMS Proxy - 82.132.254.1
MMS Port - 8080

Tap the Menu key again on your mobile then Save
Tap the newly-created giffgaff APN to make it active
Check the notification bar for a H, 3G, E or G sign,
this indicates your connection is now working

Note: If you do not see a H, 3G, E or G sign straight away,
try restarting your mobile then check it again

MMS requires credit and is not included in goodybags (16p each)

Suggest to use apps like WhatsApp instead as they use your data connection, so won't cost you extra

Already had those settings but for some reason would not let me activate it.

Hello, 

To set up your internet you will need to enter the following settings -

Username:  "giffgaff"
APN: "giffgaff.com"
Password:  [ leave blank ]
Proxy: [ leave blank ]


Once you have entered all of these settings turn your phone off and on again.
