my two kids have GG sims in their cheap android phones. I want to setup the call barring on each but i get asked for a 'network password' on the phone.
Is this a pin/password GiffGaff provide?
thanks

If you mean the SIM2 PIN, it's 6666 by default

Thanks for the quick responses!
However I have tried both PINs and I receive a message 'Failed - Service is Unavailable'
I am using an unlocked Orange San Fran. btw, and accessing Call Barring within the phone settings.
Do I need a barring service active against their account before this can work?

Are either of the devices rooted? I would probably suggest rooting if you haven't done so, removing all of the Orange branding and settings.

Just had a little search around, and it seems Vodafone give out individual call barring codes, so in that case I would suggest contacting an agent and enquiring about this.

You could try enabling Fixed Dialling Numbers instead, you can restrict what kinds of numbers are called through that.
