I have been in Thailand for 4 months now and have sometimes used my giffgaff sim to speak to people back in the UK or elsewhere abroad (expensive but the only option due to intermittent internet). Recently my giffgaff sim has stopped working and cannot receive calls...the phone doesn't even ring and apparently the caller goes straight to voicemail. Why is this so? I have plenty of phone credit, and annoyingly it still charges me. Is it my phone or the giffgaff sim?

Hi aileed, welcome to the giffgaff community
Im sorry to hear this has happened. You can check your phone credit by viewing your dashboard: http://giffgaff.com/dashboard
If you are certain you have credit, please ensure that your device is picking up a local signal. If not, you can perform a manual roam which will update your connection with the network. Click on this link to view how to do a manual roam http://is.gd/manualroam. Please select one of giffgaffs roaming partners, AIS, DTAC or True Move
Hope you have a great time in Thailand
