If, not topped up or used the service for 6 or more months then the SIM is deactivated and number recycled.
To keep your SIM and number active, at least once every six months, your Account is used to:
a) make at least one call, SMS or MMS to another number (not including calls to emergency services or Member Services); b) make at least one connection to the Internet; c) make at least one airtime credit or Bundle purchase.
Thanks for your response But after contacting an agent and report that I cannot text or call before loosing my number and credit balance I was unable to activate my number because I was getting a msg " not registered on network" which is an indication that my number was already taken from me before the date I was given. I was assured that my number was Still mine and informed of my £17 balance.
I am still not able to use the number. Msg still says not registered on network. How can I get registered on the giffgaff network. I am currently using another phone that does not take the old size simcard
I don't need a new number I was informed by an agent that the number was still mine but I am not registered on giffgaff network therefore I still can't text or call. I was informed that I have £17 credit balance
My next question is... How can I get "Registered on the Giffgaff Network
