Card update

I received an email from giffgaff reminding me to update card details as it was about to expire. I clicked the link on the email to update and updated it with card number details and three digits on the back, then it said payment received, though I hadn't made a payment. Then I realised I shouldn't have gone via the email link and I went to my account via www.giffgaff.com but couldn't navigate to current payment card details. So I've now locked my credit card in case the email vwas a scam.  In the meantime email from giffgaff to say card details updated!  Is it okay to unlock my credit card?

You will be better checking with your card provider about recent transactions and discuss with them they will probably say a new card with a new number to stop any possible problem.

Hi this could have been a scam giffgaff have written this out for member to check their accounts

• Change the password to your giffgaff account - https://giffgaff.com/profile/details#passwd
• Change your email associated to your giffgaff account - https://giffgaff.com/profile/details#email
• Alert your bank for possible unauthorised account debits and to change text alerts messages
• Change passwords/emails on any other accounts outside of giffgaff that might have the same login information
• Let us know if you have received a text saying that a SIM swap is about to be performed

I need to unlock credit card or giffgaff can't take my monthly payment soon

show them your message and see if it is from them
remember allow from a few hours up to a maximum time of 24hrs for agents to reply which will show here

Remember agents work from 8am until 11pm daily

in the mean  time why not buy a voucher to top up this month

I have checked with card provider and, as advertised by giffgaff community, this is a genuine email from giffgaff. Also advised by Community to go via website to update in future. Thank you all for help.
