We will be getting an email with a link to accept an amount of credit as a gesture of goodwill.   You can also opt to donate this value to charity. 

 

It is a minimal value so you are not talking any great amount, but it’s a gesture.

Giffgaff are not obliged to offer any other compensation as you are not in a contract with them.
For info. The network outage was in Europe too & 32 million people involved.

Hi I've not got a email offering me a refund for the loss of signal causing me problems this is the only phone i have and I'm diabled and need my phone 24/7 thanks

The 'compensation is likely to be in the region of 87p, so don't plan a spending spree

If this really is the case I would suggest that you get a simple from another network other than O2 and keep it in reserve, any old PAYG summary from EE or similar.
