Data keeps coming up with ! Next to 4G

All flipping day I've had nothing but trouble with my internet. Keeps saying connection failed this is the first time I've been able to even get a message out about the problem. I can't even speak to giff gaff as its data based and I got no data even tho I've paid hard earned money for it. I'm currently stood in the snow outside a closed library using WiFi to try and get a number for customer service and can't find one anywhere anyone got it or know how I can actually tell someone my fones not working???

First of all, dont use any phone number found online as it maybe a scam to get your account info.....giffgaff doesnt have a number to call customer services. secondly if you go online rather than the app then the giffgaff.com web pages should be free to view so you can go home and warm up rather than standing outside in the snow. 

You should try restarting your phone. 

it could be a local mast problem linked to the snow..... go here and check....

And also you should try doing a manual roam as explained here http://is.gd/manualroam

Reboot your phone + check if there is any issue reported in your area http://giffgaff.com/coverage-and-service also doing a manual roam can help http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Tips-Advice/Manual-Roam/m-p/3345471#M32502You

Also as giffgaff are an online company we don't have a number!

Do you still have normal signal and working calls / texts?

Go through your phone settings to configure it for mobile data from scratch: http://giff.ly/gg_settings

If you're still having issues, test your giffgaff SIM in another correctly configured unlocked phone to verify that it can definitely pick up mobile data.
