I have just come to the end of a contract with O2. Ordered a new phone, same as old one from giffgaff. As giffgaff use O2, can I just transfer my sim over with using  PAC?

Thanks

@theblott
Yes you will need the pac code to port your 02 number to giffgaff even though we run on 02

If you wanting to port your existing number to giffgaff

It's easy to keep your current mobile number and transfer it to giffgaff. You can transfer any mobile number (contract or PAYG) from any UK mobile network.
This guide will let you know what you'll need and what to expect when transferring a number to giffgaff.

@theblott, hi there, you will need to get a pac code from your last provider then transfer your number over to giffgaff just fill in the form here.

http://www.giffgaff.com/support/transfer

You will need to top up with a minimum of £10 to activate your sim before you transfer over to giffgaff.
You must wait for 24 hours before transfering over.

Yes, you can do that. But before this can be done you will need to activate your gifffgaff SIM.

If you don't have the sim, you can order one from here: https://giffgaff.com/orders/mgm

To receive your sim this can take up to 2-3 working days but it shouldn't take that long.

Once received you can activate it from here: https://giffgaff.com/activate

to transfer your old number on giffgaff , you just need to click here: http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Getting-started/How-do-I-keep-my-mobile-number/ta-p/3521127

To transfer the number you need to get the PAC code from your old services provider. PAC code is only issued by them to transfer your old number.

If you're still facing any issues while porting-in your old number on giffgaff so you need to contact giffgaff agents from here:
https://giffgaff.com/support/ask/transfer and give them the below details:

>Temporary giffgaff number:
> Keep number:
> PAC code:
