I transfered my SIM to a new phone yesterday and have internet, calls and SSM working fine. I recieved a text with settings from GiffGaff fine. When I go into mail in order to set up my emails it asks me to read service terms etc first and then click accept. When I do it shows as checking for mail service updates and then comes up with an exclamation mark and 'communication error, try again later'. Is this a problem with my phone do you think?

Here you go...

http://deviceguides.vodafone.ie/web/nokia-asha-201/basic-use/email-messaging/set-up-your-phone-for-w...

Remember to change all the Vodafone specific instructions to GiffGaff ones. I'm sorry I can't be more help on this one, it seems like THE most convoluted way of getting something to work. I hope that page helps.
Cheers,

Emi :-D

What email provider are you trying to use? Looks like the settings for that are not quite right.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the phone, but here is a link to a manual for a 200 series phone:

Edit: Oops, looks like a 300 series phone, but hopefully similar.

Thanks for trying to help! Does anyone else have this model and have any ideas?

Just an additional piece of advice:

A lot of Nokia phones require you to select the giffgaff APN settings as the default for all applications. This can sometimes be hidden away under Games or similar. Hope you manage to find someone with the phone, but otherwise try your manual or phone the Nokia support line or website/forums.
