Emergency calls only

I have checked the network area and coverage in my area and it's still not working still showing emergency callservices only

' @winnie28k Try switching on and of your airplane flight mode a few times to update network again or try a soft reset by holding down the power button and up and down volume button at same time until phone reboots its self and see if works then

Please check the signal in your area by following this link https://giffgaff.com/coverage-and-service for the network status or coverage. The network status should give you details of any local issues, including planned work, as well as showing signal strength & outages.

Please remember that the website is updated hourly and may not display any issues at the current moment. If the signal looks all good then you can perform a manual roam Please check out this http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/Force-the-change-of-SMS-settings/ta-p/4871794 guide on how to perform a manual roam.

Also please turn off your mobile device off for a couple of minutes and on again to see if that helps.

I would try a Manual reset, it usually works & is worth a try. This info. will help you.

This is a helpful link when having trouble connecting to the internet at home or abroad:

If you can't get on the internet try this out on your phone: it's only the 'Generic settings', but worth a try.
1. Go to settings
2. Then go to mobile networks
3. Select a network other than O2(gg) i.e EE or Vodaphone
4. Come out of settings and it should say no network coverage or something similar
5. Repeat the process this time choose O2(gg) and this will update your number to the message centre and should help your txts
The message centre number in your message settings should be +447802002606

I cant make calls at all I've messaged an agnet to help but this situation  hasnt been answered . I got my phone unbarred and its still  not been fixed by now, I'm so stressed with this situation and I needed to make call. Help

are you in the London area?
If so see below re issues with people using 2g in some parts of London. I was in East London last week and my daughter couldn't phone me at all. I was able to phone her however. It is suggested that you can change to 3g as 3g and 4g are not affected
