Hi I'm off to America for a week and not sure about using and charges on my phone ... any help will be grateful

Roaming prices

Data 20p per MB
Calls & voicemail (charged in per second increments after first 30 seconds) £1 per minute
Receiving calls (charged in per minute increments) £1 per minute
Sending texts 30p per text
Receiving texts Free
Picture messages (MMS) to a UK/EU mobile 16p per MMS
Picture messages (MMS) to any other mobile 24p per MMS

You'll be charged at full international pay as you go rates. Your goodybag won't work so you'll need to top up your credit. Data will be very expensive so you might want to switch it off.

I've got an ongoing question elsewhere on here. You are receiving good advice to top up with credit. As did I, but when you get back don't expect any credit to be refunded. It's stuck on your account.
