Try this olivia

Go to Settings - Wireless and Networks -
Mobile Networks - Network Operators -
Search for networks.
Select any network that is Not o2.
(choose Orange/Vodafone etc).
You will see "unable to connect".
Now select o2 and allow the selection
back to Automatic.

Just try to restart your phone. If it still doesn't work just leave it. It must be some network issue. It will start working at some point. It happened to me before too and it worked later on or straight after restart.
