Hi as 02 we’re down today they says people are intitled to compensation just wondering how I get it?

'People' were wrong, there will, if there is any compensation, be a goodwill payment of pennies (basically the loss of a day's goodybag)

It's a Global issue - Global means worldwide not just the UK. 
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/BUSINESS-46464730 You can liken it to a botched Windows 10 update, but this time we can thank Ericsson for the current debacle. The troublesome software update is to be decommissioned - service due back up tomorrow. As I have stated in other responses you could start a class action against Ericsson.

You may get a days refund of your goodybag. giffgaff are not obliged to offer any other compensation as you are not in a contract with them.
