Hi Daft question/dafter reason..... I have a monthly charge of £6 being taken from my credit card - Sometimes, but not always, I get an email telling me my goody bag has renewed. Trouble is I cannot recall what the number or username was and it is not shown on the email? Way back I had a few extra spare phones I kept topped up. I cancelled all but one. Is there anyway to find out the number, so I can stop it? Bob
If you don't not know the number there's not much chance of you knowing the username or password Bob, what I suggest you do is go through this account and ask the agent for help. Explain, just as you have done here and it may be just a case of you answer if a few security questions in order to get that recurring option on the other account stopped
Direct link to ask an agent:
Please note: Our agents aim to answer all enquiries within 24 hours. Replies from our agents can be read and responded to from https://giffgaff.com/support/questions
The emails confirming the purchase will show the member name and (partial) number in the top right-hand corner.
Hi @mybrick you need to log into your account to cancel it,
If you can't remember your login details you can get your password reset by email here,
Ps if you didn't use any of your goodybags it's worth asking for a refund too
@mybrick One thing in your favour is you have the email address, let the agent know it and your name and address, payment method bank and last four digits of the card, together with the approximate last date you used your sim.
The agent should track down your account membername in minutes.
@mybrick It is unlikely the agent can trace the accoun through the bankcard alone.
However you have another thing in your favour. When you initially authorised payment to giffgaff, it was at £5 per month.
As you did not specifically agree to the increase to £6 per month, this year, you are entitled to ask your bank to do a charge back to your account. Your Bank may at first protest but they will when you insist refund the cash.
When that happens giffgaff will stop taking payments from your bank permanently.
