I've iust put my Giffgaff sim in my phone after it being unused since February 28th and can get no signal, not even one bar. Why has it become inactive after only one month with no goodybag? I was going to change some account details but cannot receive the text message needed to access the accounts I want to change via the extra security measure.

Is it normal for it to stop working after that amount of time? Can I add the smallest goodybag possible so I can receive texts and it the sim will work again? Thanks!

Strange then because mine doesn't pick up any signal at all. So input the sim back in, changed the APN settings and then turned the phone off and on and nothing. I basically need to receive a few texts so I can reset some security details over to a new number but it's not working which might be a big problem. Anymore suggestions?

It was unlocked by 02 about three weeks a go. A Threw sim I haven't used for about four months works fine and picks up a signal straight away. The Giffgaff sim has nothing. No 3G, not even any bars showing up at all.

No it's not normal check signal in your area here

Yes you can buy any goodybag you like. However the fact that you have no goodybag won't be causing your phone to have no signal.
