I am currently tempted to move to giffgaff by porting my number to this network, but the internet charges starting from may are slightly putting me off...
So i was wondering if i port my number to giffgaff and later decide to change back to another network, how should i request for a PAC code from giffgaff?

To bring a number to giffgaff, you need to contact your current provider to request a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code)
If leaving giffgaff and taking your number with you:
Dial 43431 or go to http://giffgaff.com/help/pac-code-request to request a PAC
The PAC will be delivered by SMS within 2 hours (M-F 8-4) and displayed on your dashboard under your number.
The transfer must be initiated within 30 days of requesting the PAC, otherwise it will expire and you will need to request another. Please be aware that mobile networks are not obliged to provide a PAC once your account with them has been terminated.

Use the Ask an Agent feature. They'll happily give one to you.
UPDATE 09/2011: You can now request a PAC code more or less instantly by calling 43430 on your phone.
