Apologies, but I am a complete novice.
My daughter is going to the USA for 8 days on a school trip and taking her iPhone with her. She has a GiffGaff £10 goodybag. Is there anything I need to do or will it just work like normal when she is there?
Do I need to buy a top-up for her? If so, any advice on how much to recommend for a typical teenager? I presume I can check how much top-up is left while she is out there and top-up again if necessary?
I'm going to get her to turn off mobile data on the phone to try and keep the cost down and use hotel wifi when she can.
Any and all advice gratefully received. Thanks so much.
@bryantrim All giffgaff sims are enabled for international roaming by default so you shouldn’t have a problem using it in the USA. You will need to add airtime credit for international use as goodybag and gigabag bundles only work in the UK.
Complete International pricing can be found here http://giffgaff.com/index/international
I also suggest check out this http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/Using-your-mobile-abroad/ta-p/3522931 link for more detailed information on using your mobile abroad.
