giffgaff cannot block or recover this for you, as to them it will appear just like a correctly subscribed premium service that you may have chosen to receive.

Your only option is to address it via the source or via the regulator Phonepayplus (as advised in the link to my thread by another member)

This is a message to all the people that lost money by this company MOBIJO or 65488

I contacted Phonepayplus and logged a complaint

I have sent a STOP message to 65488 and stopped receiving any further messages

I called the the company on their customer service number 0845 5281266 they are a call centre in INDIA

they offered to refund my money but they wanted my home address (didn't trust to give my number to an Indian caller not knowing where will my details end up

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

Thanks for that info.  The same thing has just happened to me and the cs rep was determined I pressed a button to subscribe.  What a load of tosh.

To anyone this has happened to - try to get justice and try to get your money back.  The more who show this rsole company to be thieving con artists the more likely they are to be shut down for good.

Is there no option with giffgaff that "STOPS all premium SMS messages" ?

There should be as there is on other carriers.

The only way my hubby had to stop this was to change his number as it kept happening, it is easy to change your number just contact an agent who will sort it out for you quickly, you will need to activate the new number with £10 as you did at the start but you won't need a replacement sim

Can these scammers simply take money from your balance or do you have to subscribe to some service or respond to one of their texts?
