I just activated my top up but cannot receive incoming calls. It has been over an hour now, my dashboard shows the credit and top up in place, I also have good phoen coverage.

Ive tried to call my phone and once it went through to voicemail, but now it says" not currently available".

I urgently need my phone back on as waiting for a very important call!

I have turned my phone on and off about 4 times also.  I also turned on airplane mode on and off to reactive the signal and no luck Smiley Sad

What can I do please?

Thanks

Emma

Hello @elvisema. Sometimes you need to restart your phone for your credit to kick in.

@elvisema
Hi you only mention incoming calls . Can you make calls and send and receive texts and use data?

Are you currently in the uk or abroad?

Which phone do you have?

@elvisema >>>

Try these first:

See if theres any faults here by typing in your post code ➜ http://status.o2.co.uk
(This gets updated hourly)

Unsure what network giffgaff runs on - giffgaff operates as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator using the o2 / Telefonica Network

● Check your coverage here ➜ https://giffgaff.com/coverage-and-service

Still not working? >>>

• Try the rest below •

● Try A Network/Signal Reset ➜ http://is.gd/manualroam

● Also ➜ Hand clean the sim ( Very Soft )

• Other Possibility •

You could also be in a bad area for receiving a good Signal/Service if it is fine at other locations (if all of my info hasn't solved it)

• If A Mast Is Down In Your Area •

● This is no fault of giffgaffs,this would also effect members on the O2 network and anything that's run with O2 in your area so it's down to the O2 repair team to fix it and to update there website,the O2 website gets updated every hour so it's best to keep checking it or you could search the O2 forums within your area search and see if there's a clearer explanation.
