I tried for a monthly phone but it's been declined how can I come across this ? Can I make a new account up and have same email etc....?

Hey @lel7003 who's name was the credit check done under? Yours or your mum's? As if it was your name making a new account won't solve anything as the credit check is done by a third party company which is the loan company called "Ratesetter"

I know RateSetter check your credit with the credit reference agencies to make sure that your credit is good enough and you can see the 'pending' status when they're taking longer than normal to check your credit

Hi, if you've been refused a loan using your own details you will be refused again even with another account as its more than likely the credit check that's its been refused for.

Whilst RateSetter do an unrecorded (soft) check with the credit reference agencies, I would expect them to note the failure for their own purposes, and they may consider that the the new application is really the same as the original one.

I would suggest you get a loan from someone else, even if the interest rate is higher.
