For the last three days I've had very little network coverage. Where I would normally have full signal I'm lucky to have one or two bars at most, and thats only for a few minutes before I lose signal altogether, and 3G is none existent.

My wife and son have both had the same problem and since we all get intermittent service my phone is not the issue. Any help with this problem would be appreciated.

Hello

If you turn your device off and wait 5 minutes ,then turn your device on again,as this can help in most cases.

If your problem hasn't been sorted then
check the signal in your area by visiting this link http://bit.ly/ggservice

If it is still not fixed you can now do a maual roam:

  • Go to your phones "settings".
  • Select mobile network options.
  • Change the Network Selection Mode from Automatic to Manual

A list of available networks will be displayed after a few moments.

  • Select any other network that is not your home provider network. After a few moments you will see "No Service" on the display.
  • Now select your home provider(which is o2) network and change the selection back to Automatic.

Hope it all goes well

Check here for any issues

Signal checker

Check the signal in your area to look for any faults with the network. Please type your postcode in here : www.bit.ly/ggservicestatus

If the signal in your area is working as normal,
please try a manual roam to update your connection with the network. This can often help fix these type of communication problems : http://is.gd/manualroam

Have a good day :-)

Morning Alan
See the link below to check if there are any network issues in your area.

http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Service-Updates/Service-Checker-and-Planned-Mast-Maintenance/td-p/4...

Or see here

O2's coverage in your area. http://bit.ly/o2coverage

Restart/Reboot/Reset
A quick restart and/or a reboot of the device can help you get reception on your phone. Also you could remove your sim and give it a wipe with a clean cloth, then reinsert it. Or you could do a manual roam

http://is.gd/manualroam

If these don't help then sometimes you may need to restore the device to factory settings (how it was when you took it out of the box) but then you will need to reinput your internet settings.

Airplane/Offline Mode
Turning the device into airplane/offline mode and back into normal mode can, a lot of the time, get you a bar or two of reception in bad coverage areas but also full reception if it just a temporary network issue!
