Internet Problems

How come its now Monday & the internet problems were supposed to have been resolve Saturday? Why are lots of people posting problem after problem yet its almost 48hrs later? Could someone shine a light in the right direction? Oh, and please, dont say its an o2 issue, it isnt. Its a giffgaff issue.

Have you rebooted your phone? Ignore if you have! As we know GiffGaff have had major data outages over the weekend and there were also data issues as of 2am this morning.

Failing that, give your settings the once over and check that nothing has gone array.

Try restarting your phone and on it again the internet should connect and work automaticly if not contact an agent

I dont have any internet issues. Try taking u battery out for a minute then put back together then switch it on.then try

'Quick Options to try'

1, See if theres any problems in your area http://status.o2.co.uk/

giffgaff operates as a mobile virtual network operator using the O2/Telefonica network


2, Turn On Airplane Mode (if you have this option) And then turn Off after about 20 sec

[ Alternatively ]
Take the battery out for 30 sec and then place it back in and power up (not for Iphone users Etc)

3, Or hand clean the sim very carefully

[ Internet Settings Problems ]

Try deleting any old or even giffgaff wap/mms settings if you have them already, Delete (data) / (wap) (internet) settings then power off your phone then back on again and retry the settings and see if that works

Internet Settings!

1.Send a text message free of charge with the word settings to 2020:

2.If that doesnt work then please follow this guide:

Try these settings > Go to SETTINGS Or Internet Settings or Wireless & Networks on your mobile phone

Then select Mobile Networks Or Connection / Connectivity or Internet Profile / Data Connection from the menu and click Access Point or create a new apn and enter >

Connection Name: giffgaff - GPRS

APN - Access Point Name: giffgaff.com

Proxy Server Address:193.113.200.195

Proxy Port: 8080

Login - Username: giffgaff

Password: password

[ Then make sure giffgaff is set as default for your wap settings ]

Then power your phone of for 60 seconds then power back up then the settings should be applied for you

this is frustrating day 3: still no internet i have rebooted my iphone 4s, it works sometimes and doesnt most of the time, even checking the weather or update on stocks is impossible forget about downloading my emails....... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Try using a different service provider ie 3
Works a treat then :-)
