I´m absolutely disappointed with giffgaff. 3 months paying 7.50 pounds and everything was ok. Now, suddenly, I can´t use internet and to send a whatsapp takes 5 fives minutes.

Hi there and thanks for visiting the community.
If you could please try turning your device OFF,wait 5 minutes, then turn your device ON again,as this can help in most cases. If your issue has not been resolved, check the signal in your area,by visiting or clicking onto the link below.
Please be aware that the website is updated hourly, so there may be a current issue that is not showing at the moment. Keep checking the signal checker website over the next few hours or so,cheersSmiley Very Happy.

If the signal checker is showing NO issues, you could also perform,a manual roam, which basically is searching for networks on your device.Go to your phones "settings" and Select mobile network options and Change the Network Selection Mode from Automatic to Manual and list of available networks will be displayed after a few moments.Select any other network that is not your home provider network and After a few moments you will see "No Service" on the display. Now select your home provider(which is o2) network and change the selection back to AutomaticSmiley Very Happy.

You could always Read / Try the below info >>

[ Suffering with slow internet ]

⬜ This guide I've made has helped a lot of members out Past/Future so I would suggest trying the below please

⬜ First thing to try ➜ See if theres any faults here by typing in your post code http://status.o2.co.uk

Unsure what network giffgaff runs on - giffgaff operates as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator using the o2 / Telefonica Network

⬜ Check your coverage here ➜ http://bit.ly/o2coverage - o2 coverage checker

⬜ If its says the 3G / Internet is ok in your area , I suggest trying the below

Hand clean the sim ( Very Soft )

Also: You could just be in a bad area for receiving a good internet service if it is fine at other locations (if all of my info hasn't solved it)

[ For Iphone ] - Try a reset of network settings

⬜ Go to
⬜ Settings
⬜ General
⬜ Reset ( at the bottom of the page)
⬜ And click on reset network settings

Then power Off for a minute
Then power On after a minute and then input the settings back in (settings can be found below)

⬜ Other Models (try the below)

Or try number 2 ( if you dont have the number 1 option )

⬜ 2, Try deleting any old or even giffgaff Wap / Apn ( internet settings ) - if you have any stored

Then you might want to delete any

• 'Data' -

• 'Wap' -

• 'Internet Profile/ Data Profile'

'Internet Accounts' (if you have Advanced options and then Power the Mobile/Unit Off for a minute or two and Power back On and then input the settings found below )

SETTINGS ➜ http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/learn-giffgaff-top-tips/newbie-quick-internet-guide/m-p/2066679

Also -

[ To use giffgaff internet on your sim ]

■ ➜ Switch off your WiFi connection -

■ ➜ Switch on / Enable - 3G/Data Connection - Package Data or Cellular Data

⬜ Definitely read this once you have the settings back in ➜ Go into your internet settings if you have any problems accessing the internet and check this option > Proxy Server Address: Leave this completely blank.

Hi there, can I suggest that you start by checking the giffgaff network status in your area to see if there are any local issues. http://www.bit.ly/ggservicestatus

If the signal is fine, you can try manual roaming by following the link to guide below http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/giffgaff-Top-Tips/manual-roam/td-p/3345471

That can sort all types of issues!

Would also do no harm to reboot your mobile, if not already tried.

Please don't forget to Kudo if my post is helpful or mark as Best Answer if appropriate, thanks.

The best thing to do is contact a giffgaff agent direct via my link and tell them the problem you are having. Here is the link for you
