Hello there.

How are you?

Try texting the word settings to 2020.

If this doesn’t work, you need to manually enter the internet settings for giffgaff by going into the settings/configuration menu of your device and find the option which says "APN" or "Internet settings" and enter the following details:

Mobile Data

• APN ... giffgaff.com
• Username ... vertigo
• Password ... password
• Visual Voicemail (just leave it as giffgaff do not support visual voicemail).

MMS

• APN ... giffgaff.com
• Username ... vertigo
• Password ... password
• MMSC http://mmscmediamessaging.co.uk:8002
  
• MMS Proxy 193.113.200.195:8080
• Max message size 2097152
• MMS UA Prof URL (just leave blank)

Don't  press " Reset Settings " when you’ve done this.

When the settings are completed you will need to turn your iphone off and wait 1minute and then turn it back on.

When back on go to ensure that MMS Messaging button is set to on. Please ensure that 3G and Mobile data are also switched on. Then go to carrier in settings and select network automatically and then restart your phone.

If you have access to wifi install the "My giffgaff" app from the App Store and it will help you set up your phone https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/my-giffgaff/id571246020?mt=8

You might want to do things manually by following these instructions:

For iOS 7 go to Settings, Mobile Data, Mobile Data Network

Enter the following;

APN : giffgaff.com
Username: vertigo
Password: password
Visual Voicemail (just leave as is, giffgaff do not support visual voicemail)

MMS settings

APN: giffgaff.com
Username: vertigo
Password: password
MMSC: http://mmsc-ac.mms.o2.co.uk:10021/mmsc
MMS Proxy: 193.113.200.195:8080
Max message size: 2097152
MMS UA Prof URL: (just leave blank)

Do NOT press the " Reset Settings " button when you've done this.

MMS will NOT work unless 3G is ON. (Settings > General > Network) Make sure Enable 3G is set to ON.

Once the settings are in, turn your iPhone off ( via the red slider ) till the screen is completely blank. Then restart your phone.

Settings will be the same for any other iphone/ software
The settings tab has changed postion though


go to
Settings
General
Reset ( at the bottom of the page)
And click reset network settings

Once the phone restarts go to
Settings
Mobile ( or celular )
Mobile data (or celular data )

change the mobile data and mms apn 's
From idata.o2.co.uk
To giffgaff.com
( leave the usernames as vertigo)
dont click reset

Now turn airplane mode on and off to kick start a connection
