Hi , this is my first message , basically i'm moving address , my three sim has no signal at my new location its kinda out in the country side.....but o2 works there okay fine for 2g , But when i'm out and about during the day i do use my net a fair amount .

Is Giffgaff capable of 4g ? if it is 3g , what kind of speeds should i expect with 5 fall bars when i'm out and about during the day.

Great community spirit here , glad to be joining , i've been reading past replys and answers , got to say its been most helpful Smiley Happy

3G - depends on location etc, i can get over 5meg down at work

4G isnt even available yet and hasnt even been tendered out for contracts

These are my own personal opinions and do not necessarily reflect that of Giffgaff and their employees

It's 3G at the moment. 4G is miles away.

For the people that are saying o2 will be upgrading to 4G soon I would love to know where you got this information from. Seen as though the last I saw was that the 4G auction has been delayed until the end of 2012 so basically its ages away.

wouldnt really be thinking about 4g right now
its too far away
cant even get decent broadband speeds compared to other countries
3G is pretty good
but really depends on the build of your phone as well as the network
i've had speeds on 1.5mbps on giffgaff with a nokia n97
