Is Giffgaff down?

No signal right now - earlier in the day all was OK

I made one or 2 calls and received some text messages and sent a few text messages

Someone told me they had trouble calling my number - didn't think about this

 

NOW: no signal   Smiley Sad

I have just spoken with the technical team again. The fix has definitely been applied and it will be applied to phones over the next three hours. Some members will see service coming back before that, but at the longest it will only be 3 hours until all members are fixed.

We do not know at the moment whether a hard reset will achieve anything, however your phone
will not need a reset in order to be fixed.


1, See if theres any problems in your area http://status.o2.co.uk/

[ If you find faults: Then Its a o2 issue and its Not giffgaffs fault! ]

giffgaff operates as a mobile virtual network operator using the O2/Telefonica network


2, Turn On Airplane Mode (if you have this option) And then turn back On after about 20 sec 'or' Take the battery out for 30 sec and then place it back in and power up (not for Iphone users Etc)

3, Or hand clean the sim very carefully

It must be a location issue as my service on giffgaff is fine and has been since the issue occurred

02 network gone down so this affects us as we are a side company of 02 signal same as tesco mobile Smiley Sad

yes it has affected some users!! its because O2  are having problems...they are working on it thou!! it should be working in a few hours!!Smiley Happy
