Just received unsolicited text from 21203. I think I’ve also been charged for it ! How do I block my number from receiving this type of message?

@salsamad
Yes the 10p is the reverse charge when receiving a text from 21203

Its actually an email to sms service run by o2,
And will work on giffgaff

The issue is trying to discover how this is being switched on remotely
(you should only be able to switch it on from your phone by texting on to 212)

I may, post a question on the O2 community to see if o2 customers have also been affected,
Then try and collate all those effected to see if there's a common theme

please, else if I don't see an update here I will contact Giffgaff and ask them for more details around who it is that's debiting these 10p amounts. O2 last time round gave me some information I was able to call the scammers up and moan directly.

@conradtudor

in addition to sending "off" if you want to be a good citizen you should try to get your money back by contacting the premium text company (see below) and log a compaint with the "Phone-Paid Services Authority"

The fact these scammers have been in business so long shows how broken our country is.

Thanks salsamad.
It’s the remote switching on that’s the worry. There are obviously holes in security!
I don’t think the message was intended for me but someone switched me into the service!

@conradtudor
I raised this on the O2 community
https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Discussions-and-Feedback/Scam-texts-from-21203/m-p/1198135#M107345

And it seems o2 customers have been receiving them also,
