also remember to restart phone after approximately 30mins
If not then follow this link and giffgaff will block phone and SIM and send out a replacement SIM same number and balances looking like picture when post arrives

Sorry to hear you have lost your phone, there is a little bit of good news, when you report the phone/sim as lost, you will be sent a replacement, and your credit will be transferred across to the new sim in your account, please note, when you order a replacement, its will be the only sim you can use, so you will have to wait for the postman, However, you do have a choice, if you dont report the phone/sim as lost you can do a sim swap, this will be a lot quicker but thats up to you......
