' @brynmor have you any spare unactivated sims if so follow this guide to swap current number to new SIM card sim swap please follow this guide to swap current number to new SIM card sim swap http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/giffgaff-Top-Tips/How-to-use-SIM-Swap/td-p/6885194 please remember sim swaps cannot be done between 9.30pm and 4.30am

also remember to restart phone after approximately 30mins

If not then follow this link and giffgaff will block phone and SIM and send out a replacement SIM same number and balances looking like picture when post arrivesimages(1).jpg

The FASTEST way to get back up and running today is to purchase a sim from a shop then do a sim swap. Check out the official giffgaff sim swap tutorial below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RWpzgyZU-A&feature=youtu.be

Please note SIM swap is not possible between 9:30 pm and 4:30 am.

 If you need to block your phone and SIM instead then you can do that here https://giffgaff.com/support/ask/lost_stolen_sim

@brynmor

Sorry to hear you have lost your phone, there is a little bit of good news, when you report the phone/sim as lost, you will be sent a replacement, and your credit will be transferred across to the new sim in your account, please note, when you order a replacement, its will be the only sim you can use, so you will have to wait for the postman, However, you do have a choice, if you dont report the phone/sim as lost you can do a sim swap, this will be a lot quicker but thats up to you......

It's only advised to do a SIM Swap if you meet the two following conditions:

  • You don't need to bar your phone
  • You already have an unactivated giffgaff SIM card

If you don't match these two conditions, you should order a replacement SIM through the Lost & Stolen procedure.

you must be logged in to your old account and follow the sim swap procedure https://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/What-is-SIM-Swap/ta-p/7320084which will transfer your old number and previous credit to the new sim.
