Yes that's fine. If you've lost it in your house and there's a chance you'll find it
Perform a SIM swap (see below)

If you've lost it outside and there's a chance someone will use it
Report it lost
Http://www.giffgaff.com/support/lost

(sim order and sim swap procedure)

Order a sim from your spread page
Http://j.mp/order_sim

When the sim arrives

Put the 6 digit code in from your new sim And click continue

On the next page it'll show the 6 didgit activation codes and sim serial numbers of your current and new sim cards

Click where it says...

"Yes I want to replace my SIM" ( on mobile browsers don't forget to scroll down to see)

On the next page click "yes I'm sure"

Your new sim will hopefully be active within 30 minutes And your old sim will be disabled ( if the new sim dosnt appear active after 30 minutes try turning the phone off and on

SIM SWAP
Step by Step guide that worked for me.

Order yourself a new 3-in-1 trio SIM card here http://giffgaff.com/orders/mgm
When it arrives, you can do a SIM Swap. (pop out the appropriate size SIM).

REMEMBER to back up your SIM contacts as these can not be transferred over during a SIM swap. Bluetooth is one way to do or sd card if available
To perform a SIM Swap:
1.Use link below to log into your account.
https://giffgaff.com/profile/details#simswap
2.you will get into my PROFILE & SETTINGS
Click change on Replace your SIM
You can transfer your number, credits and goodybag to a different SIM card.
3.select option 2 Activate your new SIM.
If you have an active PAC code on your account then the link above will not work for you. Instead follow this link to perform a SIM swap and proceed from point 3.
4.you will be direct to ACTIVATE YOUR FREE SIM.
This is where SIM Swap starts. It will ask you to confirm that you want to swap SIMs. (You'll need to double check the SIM Serial Numbers (SSN) to confirm you've logged into the correct account.)
5.FOLLOW THE STEP BY STEP GUIDE

You can only do a SIM Swap between 4:30am and 9:30pm.
ONCE COMPLETED
Your new SIM should be active within 30 minutes.Your old SIM will then be disabled. You have now completed a SIM swap.
● All your account details will transfer over to the new SIM in full within 30 minutes, including goodybag, number and credit. (Restart the phone If not completed by then)
Full giffgaff guide to this here http://bit.ly/kbggswap
* Put the new SIM into your device. Turn the device OFF/ON at 30 minute intervals until you get a signal and the SIM starts working.

* You have completed SIM Swap.

Hello @ell2009 & welcome to the giffgaff Community

Yes, simply follow this link http://giffgaff.com/support/lost to report your SIM/Phone lost/stolen. Once reported giffgaff will send out a replacement SIM first The new replacement SIM will have still have your current number , any active allowances.

It should take no more than 2-3 working days for your new SIM to arrive, and will require you to activate it online when it arrives by clicking this link http://giffgaff.com/activate-sim .

If you don't receive the replacement SIM after a week, then i suggest you raise a support ticket with a agent to investigate. To contact an agent follow the link below
https://giffgaff.com/support/ask/sim_not_received , please note agents may take up to 24 hrs to reply to any queries.

giffgaff agent replies can be found in the “Messages From Agents” box on your “My Giffgaff” page or you can access it directly by following this link https://giffgaff.com/support/questions
