I have an iPhone and am new to GiffGaff. I cannot access mobile data. My mobile data setting is
APN idata.o2.co.uk rather than GiffGaff. Not sure how I got the above APN. Should I change to GiffGaff as per the instructions on this site?
If I do change the APN to GiffGaff, will I be able to use mobile data on the move and pay for it from my top up purse?

In a nutshell:
Settings > General > Profile - delete any old profiles which may be here
Settings > General > Network > mobile data network
Under APN put
leave visual voicemail empty (gg don't do it)
under MMS put
MMS Proxy: 22.214.171.124:8080
Max MSG size:2097152
Settings > General > Network > Enable 3G <ON>
Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data <ON>
Yes you can pay for internet from your airtime credit. It will cost 20p for the first 20mb and then 20p/mb after that.
Giffgaff SIMs are enabled for international roaming by default. Giffgaff, via O2, covers a lot of countries so you shouldn't have a problem taking your phone abroad.
You will need airtime credit to use your phone abroad, as goodybags are UK only. Also, it's difficult to topup when you are abroad so ensure you have plenty of airtime credit before you go.
Finally, data/internet usage is expensive starting at 69p/mb depending on where you are going. It's best to stick to wifi!
