Hi, I'm on the £12 goody bag at the moment and since last night my mobile data just won't connect. I don't know how to fix this, and I really need it tomorrow, so I'd appreciate any and all help. Thank you!

The main manufacturers selling Android phones are now making giffgaff settings available automatically. Make sure that your phone software is updated to the last version made available by the manufacturer.

When your phone is up-to-date, go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > More .. > Mobile Networks > Access Point Name. There, select giffgaff

Manual update

If your settings are not automatically available yet, you can modify them manually.

Go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > More .. > Mobile Networks > Access Point Name.
Create a new APN
Fill the APN with the settings available here and save it
We have many guides giving more detailed instructions to set up data on Android phones, just search for your phone model on this page.

You should probably start by checking the service status in your area and make sure there are no local issues with internet connections; you can do this by entering your postcode at http://giffgaff.com/coverage-and-service

If you find that there are no issues reported in your area, try:

1. Checking for any GiffGaff-specific issues in the Service Updates forum at
http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Service-Updates/bd-p/Notice_board

2. A manual roam (which can often sort out general communication issues) - there's a handy guide for this at http://is.gd/manualroam

3. Reviewing your internet configuration by checking your current settings against those shown in the KnowledgeBase article at http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Unlocking-Discussions-Knowledge/Internet-and-MMS-settings-APN-guide...

Hi there @ananya_majumdar Check this out to see giffgaffs service status https://giffgaff.com/coverage-and-service

Or click here to see it at o2
http://www.o2.co.uk/coveragechecker

If all is good in your area then a manual roam normally works matey

Go to settings....😎
Then go to mobile networks
Select a network that's not
O2(gg) i.e Vodafone or EE
Then you come out of settings and it
should say sim not allowed on this network or something to that affect
Now repeat but this time choose O2(gg)
The message centre number in your message settings should be +447802002606
This will update your phone with the most up to date network setting..:.
Have a nice day

Giffgaffer_manchester🙌
P.s if you need anything further just post back
everyone needs a little hope love and someone who believes in them, remembering difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations. Happy giffgaffing one and all
