Anyone got any ideas? I have restarted my iPad several times without success. No choice but to leave GiffGaff I suppose

Just thought you should all know that as giffgaff screwed up the system update meaning that I could not access 4g data which I am paying for plus they don’t provide any customer service and rely on you guys I have made alternative arrangements. The giffgaff gigabit data only offering is crap. For the time being I will keep my phone with them but for how long I don’t know, until the next time they screw up and abandon their customers to their fate I suppose. Personally I don’t think their business model works at all well.

@johnashleywebb; can you assert the APN settings have been configured?

Yes @johnashleywebb check the APN settings as suggested by @insaneyln  See this guide

https://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Settings-for-your-device/Internet-and-MMS-settings-APN-guide/ta-p/...

There was a post within the past couple of days by someone affected by this with a Windows Phone and (from memory) the PAP authentication had been set when it ought not to have been.

@johnashleywebb

Have a look here,

Seems to be quite a common problem with Iphone updates :/

@johnashleywebb
Hi, do you still see a connection symbol (3G, 4G, H, E, gprs)
I think the important step in the link

posted, by @sheppola@  would be to reset network settings

After you've completed that, check that the apn is still set to giffgaff.com in your iPad settings

@johnashleywebb
Can you see a connection symbol (3G, 4G, H, E, gprs)
Next to the signal dots /bars?

Have you completed a reset of network settings?
(be aware this will erase your saved wifi passwords)
Go to
Settings
General
Reset
And click reset network
Your iPad will switch off and restart automatically in a few minutes

Once that's complete Recheck that your apn is set to giffgaff.com
