Most phones automatically setup your data for you. Sometimes you need to restart your phone before data works.

If your phone still isn't getting data then you might need to do a manual setup.

To manually set up your device to get online go to:
(System) Settings>Wireless & Networks (more. . .)>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names. Create new APN by pressing on the plus symbol with a circle.

Now enter the following information:

Connection Name: giffgaff
APN: giffgaff.com
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not Set
Username: giffgaff
Password: [leave blank]
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002
MMS proxy: 82.132.254.1
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 234
MNC: 10
Authentication Type: "PAP or CHAP"
APN type: default,supl,mms
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified

If the following fields exist enter the values shown:
MVNO type: IMSI
MVNO value: 23410x

Save your new APN by pressing on the 3 dots and choosing save from the pop-out menus.

You will need to restart your phone for your internet connection to work properly.

You could also be in a bad area for receiving a good Signal/Service if it is fine at other locations (if all of my info hasn't solved it)

• If A Mast Is Down In Your Area •

● This is no fault of giffgaffs, this would also effect members on the O2 network and anything that's run with O2 in your area so it's down to the O2 repair team to fix it and to update there website, the O2 website gets updated every hour so it's best to keep checking it or you could search the O2 forums within your area search and see if there's a clearer explanation.

@ch1994; do you have an active goodybag or sufficient airtime credit? Have you configured the APN settings on your phone?
