@adam0293
It's simply a maximizing of profit, gg want more money for data, hence slow speeds. The 4g is a half truth as it's really 3g in the day.

I'm on three getting 3-5mbs on 3g.

@holymoly I don't see how they can advertise that you get unlimited data when in actual fact you can't use it it's a joke

@adam0293

They do not call it "unlimited data" now, because as you say it is not unlimited.  Where did you see it advertised as unlimited?

The texts and calls are unlimited on the £20 goodybag.  Minutes are shown as 45,000 which is more that the number of minutes in 31 days.

@navvy It is advertised as always on if you look below that when you are buy a £20 goodybag it stated that you have 6gb of full 4g speed (which I had 1mbs) and "unlimited" data at a lower speed of 250kbs or around that it also states when
Purchasing the goodybag that the minutes are unlimited as are the texts.

Because gg are liars.

@navvy
It's advertised as unlimited data, not unlimited speeds, hence the always on and not unlimited right?

Explain to the OP, the members banned using 10-15gbs in the off-peak hours following ggs own advice. Or the the last few days of being banned for using the 6gbs of tetherable data and a couple of gbs of the unlimited??

Yes, the minutes are unlimited.  It's useful to be able to dial *100*7# and see a number that changes so that you can see how many minutes you've used.  If you manage to use up 45,000 within a month, I'll be very surprised.

Personally I've never had the patience to try to use that much data.  If I need to download something fast, I give up and use a different network (or find a Wi-Fi) instead.

I don't have wifi in my home I use a iPhone 6 Plus witch eats data I think giffgaff should realise this as they sell iPhones but won't give you data comparable with them

@adam0293
Do you see how they contradict themselves by either ignoring the issue or changing tact. They are so far up ggs bum, all common sense goes out the window.

@holymoly I'm even being shrugged off by the advisor not giving me a reason for only getting 1mbs for my "full 4g speeds"
